Listen to a Map Podcast, with me!

I’m interviewed in the latest episode of “What’s Your Map?” — the podcast is really informative and fun, as much about the people who study and work with maps, and their moral and ethical reflections prompted by all sorts of different maps, as it is about the maps themselves.

The podcast is organized by the Sunderland Collection at oculi-mundi.com, which has a nice write up of the themes of the episode, which focuses on the 1662 Blaeu world map [one of Harold Osher’s favorites, and one I love teaching with!] but also addresses how I ended up as a map historian and also the innate gender bias that has long afflicted map studies (although the situation is much better now than it was!).

You can access the podcast and the write up from https://oculi-mundi.com/matthew-edney, the entire series from https://pod.link/1766500219, and from any reputable source of podcasts.

Enjoy!

(I actually enjoyed it, and I hate how I sound when recorded.)
